Beautiful Bekah

Bekah loves to dress up in her ballerina clothes and dance all over the living room. Hopefully we'll be able to get her involved in some dance classes before too long. I think before we do that we are going to start her in gymnastics. I need to call and find out how much it is and all that stuff, but I'm hoping she can start in January.

Bekah got a beautiful Christmas dress, shoes and headband from her Aunt Tessa. She loves to wear it and asks me all the time, "Can I put on my pretty dress?" Here she is modeling it!

Bekah's Party!

Sunday, November 26th was Bekah's 3rd birthday. We checked out of our cabin that morning and drove over to Todd's parent's house in Maryville, where we had her Barney birthday party. We had lots of family and friends that were able to come and celebrate with us.

Bekah and Candace enjoying their pizza!
Brandon is happy to have some time to catch up with old friends, Sydney and Will.
All the kids were excited about the cake and ice cream.

Bekah got lots of great birthday gifts. Mommy and Daddy got her this bicycle and helmet. She had been asking for a pink bike and a helmet like Brandon's.
The weather was great and the kids were able to play outside in the leaves and enjoy Papaw and Grandma's big swing.

Thanksgiving Weekend Continued

We spent time just hanging out in our cabin....playing games, reading books, working on craft projects with the kids, etc. Here are some pictures....

Our cabin was located by the river. There was a short trail to follow which led us down to the river, so we spent time playing with sticks, rocks, trying to skip rocks, etc.
Todd' s brother, Trey, came over to our cabin and spent Thanksgiving day with us!
We made a trip to one of our favorite spots in the mountains....Cades Cove.

I would say our trip to the mountains was very enjoyable.....let's do it again next year!!

Thanksgiving Weekend

I know, I'm a month late, but better late than never....We spent Thanksgiving weekend in Townsend, TN. We rented a couple of cabins with my family so that we could get away and relax for a few days. We brought food and cooked our meals at the cabin, including a very yummy Thanksgiving feast. The weather was perfect so we enjoyed being outside and throwing the frisbee and enjoying the scenery.
When we arrived on Wednesday evening, my Aunt and Uncle had a birthday gift for Bekah....princess dress up clothes. Of course she was thrilled!
We had missed my Dad's birthday celebration, so we brought his gifts to the cabin. They were golf balls and a tie.

Happy Birthday Bekah!

Bekah recently celebrated her 3rd birthday and she was lucky enough to have 2 birthday parties! Bekah's birthday is Nov. 26th and the twins who live next door were born on Nov. 24th. So, they had a party together at out neighbor's house. Josh and Jake turned 4 years old and they are walking miracles. They were born prematurely at 26 weeks gestation and weighed about 1 pound each. God has taken care of them and they are very healthy and wonderful 4 year old boys!!

Mrs. Sonja made Bekah some wonderful Barney cupcakes! Josh had Diego cupcakes and Jake had a Spiderman cake, so Sonja was a busy woman!
"I like it!! Yeah!!"
Bekah asked why there were crayons in her cupcake! Those are crayon candles, Bekah!
There was pizza, cupcakes, ice cream, games, balloons, presents, friends and lots of fun!!

Bird nests

Homeschooling is so much fun! Recently we have been learning about all the different kinds of birds. So, we got to make birds nests out of grass, twigs and mud. Then we put some bird eggs in the nest and then we got to eat them!!!

In case you are wondering...the grass was shredded wheat, the twigs were chow mein noodles, the mud was a chocolate and peanut butter mixture and the eggs were grapes! No, I didn't really feed my kids grass and mud!!

Fall Fun

Fall is probably my favorite time of the year. I love it when the summer heat begins to fade and the cool autumn air blows in. My kids like fall too for another reason....leaves all over the ground. They have enjoyed playing in the leaves several times this fall. Here are some photos of them in our neighbor's yard (since we have no trees in our yard, we have no leaves in our yard!)
