Kentucky State Fair

We attended the Kentucky State Fair on Tuesday, August 21st. We had a very fun day!!

Field Trip

Recently Brandon had a field trip to the Frazier International History Museum in Louisville. Todd's parents happened to be in town that day, so they went with us on the field trip. The museum was having a special exhibit about dragons while we were there. Here are a few pictures from our day!

Bekah was scared of the dragon and wouldn't go near him. Obviously, Brandon didn't mind at all!

This was story time with the other homeschoolers. Wow, Brandon does get some socialization!!

Back to School!

School starts today!! Brandon is starting the 2nd grade and he is very excited. He has seen the curriculum and can't wait to start studying world geography, maps, animals from around the world, etc. I warned him that 2nd grade does include things like reading, spelling, and math too!

Todd starts classes at the seminary today. He has a Tuesday and Thursday morning class at 7 am before work. It is a class about humanity and sin. Then on Thursday evenings from 7-10 he has a preaching class.

We celebrated with our annual back-to-school party at home. Family Fun magazine always has such great cake and dessert ideas. This one is a frosted brownie! Yummy!

Tea Party

Today Mommy and Bekah had a tea party. We went to Jewel's House of Teas with our neighbors. They had a great little dress up area that Bekah and Liberty enjoyed playing in.

We all had such a great time!

We tried 2 flavors of hot tea...french vanilla and some kind of berry tea. Bekah loved the vanilla tea and I loved the berry tea. Yum! And we had a yummy brownie with our tea too!

Date Night

Last night Todd and Bekah had a Daddy-Daughter Date Night. Bekah was so excited!
They ate dinner at Chick-Fil-A where Bekah enjoyed the playground.

A trip to Lowes

And then Bekah got to pick out a movie to rent at Blockbuster and they ended the night with ice cream! Sounds like fun to me!

New Bedroom

Recently we redecorated our bedroom with new bedding and curtains, etc. Most of the items were gifts for my birthday (which was July 19th). Here are some pictures of the finished product.
