Egg Hunt

Each year, we have an egg hunt with several of our neighbors. This year was no exception! Brandon especially enjoyed this year because the day before at our church egg hunt, he found 0 eggs. So, he was thrilled to get a basket full of eggs when we had the egg hunt with our neighbors!

Bekah is enjoying the goodies in her eggs!

Hmmmm, I wonder what is in these eggs?

I just like this picture of Bekah!

These are our wonderful neighbors!

Waterfront Park

While my parents were in town, we also spent a day enjoying Waterfront Park in Louisville!

And we ended the day by eating dinner at Buckhead Mountain Grill right on the riverfront with a beautiful view!

Bekah's Question

Tonight Bekah asked me, "does it hurt to get a baby out?" I told her yes, it does. She said, "but not as bad as getting a shot, right? It won't make me cry, right?" Hmmmm.......I think we'll talk about that when you are bigger, Bekah. I have no idea why she asked me this???

Grandmom

Todd's mom and dad also came up for Todd's ordination.

When Grandmom is around, she'll be reading books to the grandkids for sure!

Fun Times

My parents came up for Todd's ordination and were able to stay with us for a few days. We always enjoy having company! They brought Easter goodies for the kids:

Bekah opened a CD with some new Easter music (which she enjoyed listening to over and over!).

I think Brandon liked his new book!

And we spent a day in downtown Louisville. We checked out Glassworks and ate a picnic in the car (too cold outside) and then spent the afternoon enjoying the Louisville Science Center.

Bekah is under the sea!

Thank goodness that snake is not real!

This is just before our IMAX movie!

Swimming creatures...

Brandon is out of this world!

Rev. Todd Young

Todd's ordination was such a wonderful evening! We were thankful that Todd's parents and my parents were able to be there for this special event. And we are thankful for all that our church did to plan this evening just for him. After the ordination service, we all went to the fellowship hall for good food and fellowship. Todd and I both were greatly encouraged, and it is a night we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Our friend, Kara, took pictures of the evening for us. You can see more photos on her blog here: http://karaguffeyphotography.com/blog/2009/03/

Finally, an update!

Well, here's an update (finally) on the last month or so in our family!

I have been busy with homeschooling the kids, of course. We did enjoy a field trip to see the play Go, Dog, Go one day in March.

Yes, we did make the shamrock cookies:

Then there is all the usual stuff like karate, dance class, art class, Boys Book Club, Girls Keepers Club, etc. And I've been participating in a Women's Bible study at church (The Gospel for Real Life by Jerry Bridges) and I've been taking Seminary Wives Classes this semester (Biblical Counseling and Mentoring).
We had Todd's Ordination at church on March 29th which included a visit from both sets of parents. We have celebrated Easter and taken a trip to Maryville. So, life has been busy, but lots of fun! More pics to come....
