A trip to Maryville

It's been a while since I've posted, so I'll try to catch up. We took a trip to Maryville, TN, the first weekend in October to see Todd's family. We celebrated his birthday and his mom's birthday while we were there. His parents have a wonderful backyard. It is big and wooded and lots of fun so we usually spend a lot of time out there when we go to visit.
Todd with his birthday cake.
There is a swing in a huge tree in their back yard. It's a bit high off the ground, but Bekah and Ty loved it (I enjoyed it also!!) ...they weren't scared at all. Brandon was another story......he swung when we coerced him but he only tolerated it. He was definitley a bit scared of swinging so high off the ground. Just to give you an idea of how high it is....when Bekah would swing out Todd couldn't reach up and touch her....so probably over 10 feet high.

We enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the campfire in the back yard also. As you can see Ty ate just a few! The black stuff if the charred black part of the marshmallow. Yum, Yum!! Todd's dad had just purchased this 4-wheeler when we arrived. Everyone enjoyed riding around on it. Ty had been a bit hesitant to ride it, but when Uncle Trey took him for a ride he was loving it!!

Cute Kids

These are just random pictures that I took at our house last week. I really like my kids and so I just wanted to share these pictures with you all!! Bekah is doing great with her potty training. We've made the big switch to underwear except for at bedtime. Brandon is doing good in school. We've been studying American history this year and we are just to the Revolutionary war. We made a 3 cornered hat that they used to wear and so he's been wearing that and playing "General Washington." They are both enjoying the fall and looking forward to dressing up for Halloween.
